Food supply crisis: we can overcome it

The whole world is now in a deep social and economical crisis. And Ukraine is not an exception. Inflation, prices’ increase, state debts have mostly affected the low income people, pensioners, single mothers, disabled people, people who lost their jobs due to entities’ shutdown. Scanty aid from the budget will not be able to solve the problem. Even the money will not be able to help feed the socially vulnerable families since foodstuff is constantly rising in price. Village people are not interested to produce feedstuff since it is unprofitable comparing to cultivation of cereals and other commercial crops.

Having analyzed the situation in the country and world economical tendencies we consider expedient development of structures uniting urban and rural population. This will allow to solve the food supply crisis in cities as well as save the soils fertility. The Agro Unions will unite urban people who voluntarily will work on the lands belonging to the country people. Such an initiative on self-provision of population with healthy products will lead to decrease of deceases. At the same time, rural population will receive additional income from their land parcels. This initiative is called “Let us feed our families ourselves!” and is coordinated by Victor Pismak
