Representatives of the Civil Rights’ Movement of Oleg Riabokon participate in the meeting with Hillary Clinton

Meeting of Hillary Clinton with representatives of NGOs, young people and mass media representatives was held on July 02, 2010 in National Technical university of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. The event was organized in the framework of the official visit of the United States Secretary of State to Ukraine.

In her speech, Mrs. Clinton stressed that the greatest incentive for those who is elected to the public office should be the caring and indifferent society. “There is an open civil society in Ukraine already – there are activists fighting the human trafficking, defending rights and interests of the disabled people, etc. During my meetings with the NGOs’ representatives I often say that building the civil society is the task of each citizen”, – noted the Secretary of State.

After the meeting Hillary Clinton also spent some time speaking with those present. Young people were mostly interested in the relationships between the USA, Ukraine and Russia, Ukraine’s joining NATO, counter-terrorism throughout the world and effective protection of human in Ukraine.
